An eBike brand is born

Throughout 2012-13, as the bikes evolved from the original ‘whitebike’ V1’s, into the V3 ‘brownies’, the SmartMotion reputation quickly spread. With the release of the V4 bikes late 2013, sales exploded and the brand became NZ’s top seller (and best reviewed).

2014

2014-15 - better, cooler

2014-15 saw the V5 range, with upgraded LCD screens, Samsung 36v15.6ah high capacity batteries, custom cnc chain ring and alloy guard, frame lock, and the new Classic Red and Midnight Blue options.

2016-2017

Simple and power

After four years of accumulation and precipitation, Smartmotion officially launched two torque models equipped with the most advanced technology at that time, Pacer city bike and Catalyst mountain bike, with integrated full-color LCD display on the top tube and large torque motor on the rear of the battery on the bottom tube, making the two models popular in the ANZ market from the moment they were released and still selling well today. At the same time, the brand logo and a number of models have been upgraded to simplicity.

2018-2019

The year of mid-drive

Smartmotion has launched a number of high-end models with mid-motor ----- Midcity, Xcity, PacerGT and Hypersonic. The Pacer GT and Hypersonic, the most powerful models of the year, were reported and praised by many European media, and both shared the same Bafang high-output mid-mounted motor, ranking top in both city and mountain bike categories respectively.

2020-2022

Never stop

Nearly a decade of the original intention remains, Smartmotion has dealers in many countries, nearly 1,000 stores around the world. Smartmotion is continuing to update the product line to launch the next generation models.

2023-Now

Smartmotion insists on innovation, incorporating ten years of experience in Ebike development in the sixth generation of product iterations and developing new models such as Xplore, xcapade, etc.
